I love chocolate milk. I love peppermint bark. The other night it hit me – why not combine them for a special treat?

Take 8oz. of your favorite milk.
Add your favorite chocolate milk mix (include a little extra to make it thicker and richer. Blend well.
Add 1/2 to 1 drop of Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil.
Garnish with a fresh spring of peppermint for a classy look if desired

What a treat!

NOTE: Do not try this with any other essential oil.

How to get less than a drop of essential oil.

Therapeutic-grade peppermint essential oil is an amazing oil to have on hand, it’s one of my favorites for daily use and for my natural First Aid kit. Young Living’s peppermint essential oil is powerful; just ‘one’ single drop is said to be equivalent to 28 cups of peppermint tea! So, use it sparingly.

How much does it cost to use therapeutic-grade Peppermint oil? – 10 cents a drop

There are approx. 250 drops per 15ml bottle (Note: the cost would be 24% less if you’re a wholesale customer or distributor)

The cost of using superior quality essential oils is priceless!

12 Other Ways to Use Peppermint Oil

  1. Add 1 drop of peppermint essential oil to herbal tea to help aid normal digestion.

  3. Rub 1 drop of peppermint essential oil on the temples, forehead, over the sinuses (careful to avoid contact with your eyes), and on the back of the neck to relieve head pressure.
  4. Apply 1-2 drops of peppermint essential oil to the back of the neck and shoulders throughout the day to keep energy up. Note: use a carrier oil such as V-6 when applied topically.

Purifying and stimulating to the conscious mind. Dr. William N. Dember of the University of Cincinnati found that inhaling peppermint oil increased mental accuracy by 28 percent. Alan Hirsch, M.D. researched peppermint’s stimulation of the brain’s satiety center (ventromedial nucleus of the hypothalamus) to curb appetite. When inhaled, it improves/restores sense of taste by stimulating the trigeminal nerve. University of Kiel researchers found that peppermint blocked headache pain in a double-blind placebocontrolled cross-over study.

There are a million reasons why couples break-up. Regardless of the reason, we still need to maintain a healthy mental and emotional balance and keep our physical body properly nourished. Here are several tips, using aromatherapy with therapeutic-grade essential oils to help make the transition easier and healthier for you.

Aromatherapy: Helping Yourself Through the Emotions of a Relationship Break Up

The fragrance of a therapeutic-grade essential oil can directly affect everything from your emotional state to your lifespan. It’s important to note that all essential oils are not created equally, 100% pure or organic essential oils will not produce the same results as a therapeutic-grade oil (more).

What makes them unique, essential oils work differently than any other natural substance?

Unique features of essential oils are:

  • Pass easily through our skin and cells membranes
  • Diffuse through the entire body within half an hour
  • Go directly to the brain through the olfactory bulb
  • Affect our feelings and thoughts because smell is our most emotional sense
  • Perform multiple functions because of their structural complexity

This explains ‘why’ one essential oil, using only a couple of drops, can do so many different things for you all at the same time – emotionally, physically, and mentally.

When any scent or fragrance is inhaled, the odor molecules travel up the nose where they are trapped by olfactory membranes that are protected by the lining inside the nose. Each odor molecule fits like a little puzzle piece into specific receptor cell sites that line a membrane, known as the olfactory epithelium. Each one of these hundreds of millions of nerve cells is replaced every 28 days. When stimulated by odor molecules, this lining of nerve cells triggers electrical impulses to the olfactory bulb in the brain. The olfactory bulb then transmits the impulses to the gustatory center (where the sensation of taste is perceived), the amygdala (where emotional memories are stored), and other parts of the limbic system of the brain. Olfactory chart, pathway how scent affects emotions

Because the limbic system is directly connected to the parts of the brain that control heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, memory, stress levels, and hormone balance, therapeutic-grade essential oils can have profound physiological and psychological effects. The sense of smell is the only one of the five senses directly linked to the limbic lobe of the brain, our emotional control center.

Scent stimulates nerves to fire in the emotional center of the brain, but it also stimulates the master gland to release hormones. Hormones affect the fight/flight response, as well as digestion and heart rate. In this way, essential oils can affect us in many ways all at once, just through their fragrance.

Anxiety, depression, fear, anger, and joy all emanate from this region. The scent of a special fragrance can evoke memories and emotions before we are even consciously aware of it. When smells are concerned, we react first and think later. All other senses (touch, taste, hearing, and sight) are routed through the thalamus, which acts as the switchboard for the brain, passing stimuli onto the cerebral cortex (the conscious thought center) and other parts of the brain.

The reason we are able to make instantaneous associations resides in the limbic region of the brain. The limbic system, known as the ‘seat of emotions’ [ Molecules of Emotion, Candace B. Pert, Ph.D. ], is the place where ‘scent’ begins and where our thoughts, responses, or reactions start.

For instance, the essential oils of frankincense and sandalwood are very high in a natural chemical compound called ‘sesquiterpenes’. Sesquiterpenes are known to increase oxygen in the limbic region of the brain. Increased oxygen to the brain can provide any number of benefits from a better attitude to being more alert. And that, is only the beginning!

Studies at new York University showed and proved that the amygdala gland (the gland in the limbic system responsible for storing and releasing trauma in the body) does not respond at all to sound, sight, or touch. They found in fact that the amygdala only releases emotional trauma through the sense of smell.

Methods of Application for Using Essential Oils to Balance Emotions Directly inhale essential oils

  1. Inhale directly. To do this you would hold the opened bottle somewhere between the naval and center of the chest, inhale deeply several times.
  2. Apply topically. Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Frankincense or any of the mentioned above can be worn as a perfume or cologne. Simply put one drop in the palm of the hand, rub palms together lightly then rub palms on jaw-line, neck, shoulders, wrists, pressure points. Then, cup palms over the nose and inhale deeply 3 times. A modified version of this be to simply rub that one drop on the palms onto your pillow case at night. You would probably not want to apply Myrrh on its own in this way because it’s a fairly thick essential oil and could feel too thick on the skin and alone it could stain fabrics.
  3. Indirectly diffuse. Put a few drops on a cotton ball or tissue and stick the cotton ball or tissue in the vent of the home A/C or in the vents of your car. During plane travel, the cotton ball or tissue can be put in a small baggie, when needed simply open the baggie and take some deep breaths.
  4. Make a room spray. This is one of my favorite ways to scent a room fast. In a 32 oz. spray bottle, fill 7/8 full with water, then add a total of 20-30 drops of your chosen essential oil, or a combination of essential oils. Shake, then spray into the room like you would an air freshener.
  5. Diffuse. This is done by  using an essential oil diffuser. Keep in mind that not all diffusers are created equal. The least you would want to know is that you never want to expose your therapeutic essential oil to heat as heat fractures the tiny molecules, rendering the benefits of the superior essential oil useless. Instead, you would want to use a diffuser that deploys the essential oil into the air by either cold-air in a nebulizer diffuser, ultrasonically, or a fan diffuser. I personally prefer the cold-air nebulizer type of essential oil diffuser because it’s extremely versatile and puts a microfine mist of the essential oil into the air where it belongs if you’re desiring the most benefit possible. Look over the types of diffusers that are best for use with a superior quality essential oil and see which resonates most with you.

Of course, learning what went wrong is the best way to help us not repeat the same mistakes again and again. Below is an article by Jeff Herring that may help you either repair a broken relationship or what to do to avoid ending up in another relationship that doesn’t work…

7 Tips for Great Relationships by Jeff Herring

1. Commitment

True commitment means much more than simply committing to staying married. Here’s one of my favorite quotes about marriage: “When you marry, you don’t marry one person, you marry three: The person you think he is; the person he really is; and the person he is going to become as a result of marrying you.”

Key strategy: Genuine commitment involves being committed to the growth and best interest of your partner. Or as one wise married person said to me, “What’s good for my partner, is good for me.”

2. Teamwork

There was once a couple who went by the name of Mr. Neat and Ms. Clean. Mr. Neat could bathe in a shower full of soap scum and not mind at all as long as the towels and soap were neat and in their place. Ms. Clean could have piles and piles of stuff scattered everywhere, as long as the piles were clean. This couple can have either a very neat and clean home or a real mess on their hands, depending on their ability to work together as a team.

Key strategy: Use the five most important words in marriage: “Let’s try it your way.”

3. Communication

Without exception, every couple I have ever worked with struggles with effective communication. Part of the reason is that two people with the exact same communication style rarely marry each other. Because of this factor, we oftentimes misunderstand what the other person is saying and then react to what we think we have heard.

Key strategy: Use the 10 most important words in marriage-”Let me see if I get what you are saying.”

4. Meeting emotional needs

In the same way that two people with the same communication style rarely marry each other, spouses rarely have the same emotional needs. What happens is that each of us give what we would most like to get, but the other person may not want that at all.

Key strategy: Discover and then meet the emotional needs of your partner. How? Simple. Just ask!

5. Resolving conflict

Conflict in marriage is inevitable. Fighting is optional. For some folks that’s a revolutionary idea. The bottom line is that many times in marriage you have a choice: You can be right or you can be happy, but you can’t be both.

Key strategy: Stay away from “my way” or “your way” battles. Focus on “our way” solutions, or as Stephen Covey says, “win-win” solutions.

6. Apology and forgiveness

“Love means never having to say you’re sorry” the theme from the movie “Love Story” has just one problem-one person died and the couple didn’t get to see the long-term damage of never saying you’re sorry.

Key strategy: On a regular basis, practice the three A’s of successful relationships: Apologize for something from the past, appreciate something in the present and anticipate something in the future.

7. Creating a relationship vision

Most couples spend more time planning a three-day getaway than they do planning what kind of marriage they would like to have. Vision has been defined as “the ability to see beyond the probable by envisioning the possible … the act of dreaming without restriction opens up possibilities that you could not have considered before … ”

Key strategy: Ask yourself and each other this question-”If we knew we couldn’t fail, and we could design our relationship any way that we wanted it, how would we like it to be?”

Jeff Herring, MS, LMFT, marriage and family therapist.

Sometimes obsessive behavior and thoughts can take over and turn an ordinarily sane person to do some kooky things, in cases such as that it’s always good to consult with a specialist.

Jeff Herring used to coach singles and couples to live the life they love with the love of their life. Jeff is also a speaker and syndicated relationship columnist in newspapers all over the world. While he is no longer practicing relationship coaching his articles are still noteworthy and timely.

If you are looking for it, you can find relationship advice and wisdom in all kinds of places.

I found an important piece of relationship advice recently while watching a “Friends” rerun.

Monica and Chandler, now a married couple, are talking in their kitchen. Just in case you are not familiar with the show, Monica is a neat freak bordering on obsession. Chandler, feeling a wee bit amorous, sweeps everything off the kitchen table, and with a come hither look, motions for Monica to climb up on the table so they can make love.

Monica responds with this great line:

“Chandler! Making a mess to get me in the mood!?! C’mom, know your audience!”

Knowing Your Audience

I think that is great relationship advice, especially for long term relationships.

Once a couple has been together for a while, each person begins to develop a data base on the other. If they are paying attention. Sometimes that is a big if.

We so often act like we have no knowledge or experience of the other person, and then are stunned when things don’t go well.

Part of sustaining a long term relationship it becoming an expert on at least one other person in the world beside yourself.

It’s also a great definition of love. ~ Jeff Herring

Have you been thinking about exploring the possible healing properties that essential oils have? Maybe you have made a trip to your local natural food store, or other stores that carry small selections of essential oils. Perhaps you have purchased some essential oils from a store, or online from a company that sells essential oils.

What has your experience been? Are you able to use any of the oils internally? Do you know the history of the company that is providing the essential oils? Do they have their own farms? Do they process the essential oils and put them through strict testing to ensure their potency and purity? It is very important to know these answers.

Why?  If you have purchased inferior or adulterated essential oils, you could very possibly have adverse reactions. This could be a “turn off” for you.  And you may decide not to use essential oils to help you towards achieving optimal health.

So what is your option? Finding a reliable, ethical company that DOES provide quality, safe essential oils, that’s what!!

The Young Living Promise: Plants – Preparation – Purity – Potency

Plants

An oil’s potency can be affected not only by selecting the proper plant to cultivate, but also by where the plant is grown, the quality of soil in which the seed is planted, and even the time of day it’s harvested.

Young Living has extensive experience selecting the correct species of plant for desired oil potency, planting under optimal conditions, using ideal soil and natural methods to encourage growth, and knowing the precise time to harvest each crop. Only those plants that produce the most active and widest array of therapeutic compounds are selected.

Preparation

Once the optimal soil, plant, cultivation, and harvesting conditions have been adhered to, the plants must be distilled properly in order to meet YLTG standards. Young Living uses a gentle, proprietary technique for steam-extracting the most potent essential oils, which remains unmatched throughout the essential oils industry.

To meet YLTG distillation standards proper temperature must be maintained throughout the distillation process, and pressure, length of time, equipment, and batch size are strictly monitored.

Purity

YLTG standards prohibit the acceptance of any diluted, cut or adulterated oils. Every product Young Living produces—essential oils, oil blends, nutritional supplements, or personal care—meets strict purity standards.

Every batch of essential oils is subjected to rigorous, state-of-the-art analysis at the Young Living chemistry lab. Using some of the most advanced equipment in the world, our scientists subject every batch of essential oils to Gas Chromatograph and Mass Spectrometer testing, and heavy metals analysis. Oils that exhibit even the slightest hint of possible adulteration or tampering are rejected.

Potency

The culmination of the preceding three stages, Potency means that the naturally occurring compounds contained in each essential oil product are of the highest and most consistent bio-active levels. Without strict adherence to the YLTG standard in the Plant, Preparation, and Purity phases, the final product would not have the necessary potency to create the desired effect.

Working with Emotions: The Shadow Side and Using Essential Oils for Support

A free webinar with Evelyn Vincent and David Zarza, C.Ht. Explore Your Shadow

The Shadow is an essential part of all of us and as natural as our memory or our emotions. Within our Shadow, we store away those parts of us — whether emotions, thoughts, beliefs, experiences or characteristics — because we and others may judge them as bad, unacceptable, shameful or dark. Fortunately, the Shadow isn’t all bad, in fact its quite good as it is one of the easiest routes for us to reach our goodness; our Light.

David Zarza has had the pleasure of many years assisting clients to uncover and integrate their Shadow parts. In that time, he has noticed that the Shadow has an amazing impetus, like a drive towards wholeness and health; very much like Young Living Essential Oils support and enhance our health and well-being.

Evelyn Vincent has been using essential oils for over twenty years and has been teaching the benefits of essential oils to those who choose a more natural and conscious lifestyle.

In this webinar Evelyn and David will instruct attendee’s how to use essential oils when working with Shadow. In a safe and gentle way, they’ll lead you through a process of uncovering some of what may be in your Shadow; to appreciate it in a new light and perhaps even embrace your Shadow side.

Generally speaking, we rarely explore our darker nature with excitement and a smile. However, Evelyn and David will show you how rewarding and fulfilling exploring your Shadow with Young Living Essential Oils can be!

When: Tuesday, August 3, 2010
Time: 9:00 PM – 10:00 PM EDT

"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. You are the guy who'll decide where to go." ~ Dr. Seuss

Do you ever feel like you could use a quick pick me up to feel happier? Have you ever thought of how a scent changes how you feel, or brings up memories of someone or something from your past? When you get to feeling low and want to get away from that feeling what do you do?

It is inevitable that we all are going to have bad moments or bad days. From stubbing our toe, breaking a glass, or getting some bad news. Suggestion, try not watching the news for a week.  We here about the news in our every day lives,  and it is most likely going to be sad, bad news, so why not remove oneself from it for a while.  You may realize you don’t need to watch the news. You won’t miss out, because if you don’t watch it on TV, for sure you will hear about it from someone.

So what kind of quick fixes are there that may help you to feel better? Better yet, is this quick fix going to help you to feel better in a natural way rather than using a drug or chemical of some sort.  The answer is YES!!

Being a regular user of therapeutic-grade essential oils I am aware of the joyful, uplifting oils that are available.  I always start my day applying an essential oil and I have available with me at all times, different essential oils that may help me or others for various circumstances.

What are some essential oils that could be used to help one be in a happier mood?

  1. Abundance blend was created to enhance the frequency of the harmonic magnetic energy field that surrounds us. This higher frequency creates what is called “the law of attraction,” which refers to the things we attract to ourselves. Might as well attract happiness! Abundance opens us to a wealth of possibilities.  Apply topically and or diffuse.
  2. Gratitude blend is a soothing blend of therapeutic-grade essential oils designed to elevate the spirit, calm emotions, and bring relief to the body while helping to foster a grateful attitude.  Start your day and end your day thinking of what you are grateful for.  Apply topically and or diffuse.
  3. Harmony blend is an exquisite blend that promotes physical and emotional well-being by bringing harmonic balance to the energy centers of the body. The liberating, balancing, and calming essential oils in this blend open us to new possibilities while contributing to an overall feeling of well-being.  If you have chaos about you, diffuse this essential oil and it may help to balance the energy around you.  Apply topically and or diffuse.
  4. Jasmine has a warm, exotic, floral fragrance that relaxes, soothes, uplifts, and enhances self-confidence. Jasmine is beneficial for the skin. It has been used throughout history for romance and attraction and for balancing the feminine energy of the body. Apply topically and or diffuse.
  5. Joy blend is a luxuriously exotic blend with uplifting overtones that creates magnetic energy and brings joy to the heart. When worn as cologne or perfume, Joy exudes an alluring and irresistible fragrance that inspires romance and togetherness. When diffused, it can be refreshing and uplifting. Apply topically and or diffuse.
  6. Lavender has a fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous aroma that is soothing and refreshing. Because it is the most versatile of all essential oils, no home should be without it. Lavender is an adaptogen, and therefore can assist the body when adapting to stress or imbalances. Apply topically and or diffuse.
  7. Rose has a beautiful, strong floral and sweet fragrance that is intoxicating and highly romantic. It helps bring balance and harmony with stimulating and uplifting properties that create a sense of well-being and self-confidence.  Dab a little under your nose, to breath in the beautiful scent throughout the day. Apply topically and or diffuse.
  8. White Angelica blend is a calming and soothing blend that encourages feelings of protection and security. It combines oils used during ancient times to enhance the body’s aura, which brings about a sense of strength and endurance. Many people use it as protection against negative energy. White Angelica works great applied to shoulders.  Apply topically and or diffuse.
  9. Ylang Ylang has a sweet, soft, flowery fragrance that has made it a romantic favorite. In Indonesia, the petals are often strewn across a marriage bed. Ylang ylang is extremely effective in calming and bringing about a sense of relaxation, and it may help with releasing feelings of anger, tension, and nervous irritability.  Apply topically and or diffuse.

After you have your essential oil, click here for ways to use essential oils.

The first place to apply the essential oil is to the bottoms of your feet. Before you put your shoes on for the day, take a moment to first drop 1-2 drops of the essential oil and about 1/8 teaspoon of V6 carrier oil onto the palm of your hand, stir three times in a clock wise motion, and then apply to the bottoms of your feet.

With the remainder of the scent that is on your hands, cup your hands over your nose and take several nice long deep inhalations. (Be mindful to not touch your face with your hands, just cup your hands about an inch away from your nose and face.)  Read more on aromatherapy

When essential oils are applied to the bottoms of the feet the essential oil passes easily through our skin and cell membranes within 20 minutes.

Diffusing

You can also put 5-10 drops of the essential oil in a diffuser to diffuse in your environment. The bonus by doing this is not only may it help you to feel more joyful and happy, but anyone else that is around may feel better too.

When diffusing essential oils the essential oil is in the air, and you are breathing in the tiny molecules of essential oil and this effect may help to balance your moods.

In a cold air nebulizer diffuser start by diffusing your Young Living essential oils for 15-30 minutes, one to four times a day for normal situations. Place the nebulizer diffuser higher in the room (a shelf, bar, or fireplace mantle are good choices) so that the essential oil mist has a longer distance to fall through the air. (Read more on diffusing)

The natural properties found in Young Living essential oils produce a soothing, uplifting effect on the mind and emotions. When an essential oil containing the optimum level of therapeutic constituents is diffused, the result fosters a sense of emotional balance and well-being.

When the aroma of essential oils are inhaled, the scent travels to the reticular system of the brain stem where emotions and memories are connected. This enables essential oils to improve emotional wellness in many ways.

Aromatherapy, or essential oils, are helpful in elevating and balancing moods. Nature has many answers for problems and balancing out emotions is one of them. Therapeutic grade essential oils carry the “life force” of the plant and they offer the plant’s vibrancy and normalizing effects.

The fragrance of an essential oil can directly affect everything from your emotional state to your lifespan. Essential oils work differently than any other natural substance.

Another way to use essential oils is to wear them as a perfume.  Apply the essential oil as you would a perfume, on your pulse points and enjoy the fragrance and how you feel.

Essential oils are an excellent way to show your love to others, by giving them a bottle as a gift.  They will appreciate the gesture of love and feel better wearing it and remembering who gave them the gift.

Melatonin is a hormone, found in all living creatures, which helps to regulate sleep and is one of our most potent antioxidants. Peer reviewed research has been published demonstrating the potent healing effect of melatonin in an amazing range of conditions – from high blood pressure to auto-immune illnesses.

Melatonin is produced in the pineal gland in the brain. Your body makes it from the amino acid trypophan, which is also used as a building block for serotonin, the feel-good neurotransmitter in our brains. Melatonin is so important that it is not only synthesized in the pineal gland but also in many other organs and tissues of the body; particularly by bone marrow, the thymus and lymphocytes.

Further Benefits of Melatonin

  • Has been shown to be involved in the regulation of both cellular and humoral immunity,
  • Stimulates the production of natural killer cells, monocytes and leukocytes.
  • Alters the balance of T-Cells and increases the production of infection-fighting molecules called cytokines.
  • A Tel Aviv University study of 38 patients found melatonon supplements reduced blood pressure of patients with nighttime hypertension.
  • A double-blind study at the University of Hawaii found that one milligram of melatonin nightly improved cognitive function in the elderly.
  • Melatonin has been found safe and effective for Sarcoidosis (an autoimmune disorder).
  • A study published in Critical Care Medicine, used melatonin to help limit the multiple organ failure that often occurs with burn victims. The antioxidants stimulated defenses.
  • A study in the Indian Journal of Medical Science stated that melatonin offered a substantial reduction in the risk of death in cancer patients.
  • In a Malaysia study found that melatonin may be implicated in seasonal flareups of allergies and infections.
  • Melatonin may also be useful in helping with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
  • In a 2008 study from Emory University suggests that melatonin may help quiet Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Ulcerative Colitis (UC) through regulating of both inflammation and motility in the gastrointestinal tract.

The usefulness and benefits of melatonin are varied and many. As the master regulator of everything from sleep to immune function to inflammation, the value should be considered in a variety of conditions.

Outside of the body, where is Melatonin found?

Melatonin is found in small amounts in foods such as: tart cherries, walnuts, oats, corn, rice, ginger, tomatoes, banana and barley. But these amounts are quite small.

Melatonin: Sunrise / Sunset and Cancer

How many of us live by the rise and setting of the sun? Not many! And this is where the problem arises… our melatonin production is inhibited. Our modern way of living can deprive us of one of our most powerful antioxidants, one that plays an important role in protecting our DNA.

Melatonin is released during the night, stimulated by darkness and suppressed by light. Melatonin peaks in the middle of the night, for this reason it has been called the “hormone of darkness.”

  • Reduced melatonin production has been proposed a likely factor in the significantly higher cancer rates in night workers.
  • The effect of lighting during nighttime hours is also suspected in the overall incidence of some cancers in the developed world.
  • Melatonin is a powerful antioxidant that can easily cross cell membranes and the blood-brain barrier.

ImmuPro Testimonials

Hot Flashes

“Using EndoFlex, PD 80/20, Prenolone Plus and Mister for hot flashes… “I also take ImmuPro so it may be the combination, but after 2 months, the hot flashes are down to a bare minimum…maybe one mild one in the middle of the night and one or 2 mild ones during the day. They pass quickly and I don’t perspire at all. Just feel warmish. Yeah!” ~ Sue

Cold and Flu Season

“Every year around this time the news media floods us with dire predictions about the upcoming flu season, the possibility (or probability!) of an uncontrollable pandemic and the latest information on the stockpile, or lack thereof, of the flu vaccine.

While some people of the sitting-duck mentality fervently pray to not be struck down, others of us happily marinate in and diffuse our precious oils, drink our daily dose of NingXia Red and take other Young Living immune support products like: Exodus, Longevity Softgels, ImmuPro, Thieves Lozenges, etc., along with cultivating positive lifestyle practices (diet, exercise, stress relief).” ~ Vicki

Healing Poison Ivy

“Last week, I cleared out our woods and lost the battle against poison ivy.  Now as the liquid-filled bumps surface, I immediately spray each with a convenient squirt of Thieves Spray instead of scratching. New bumps continue to show themselves, yet the Thieves Spray has stifled the itch, which controls spreading. I only give in to scratching in the shower using my Young Living Bath & Shower Gel with an exfoliating cloth to zap the poison with essential oils the moment it is exposed. I also support my immune system daily with my ImmuPro tablets or ImmuPower essential oil applied to my feet and chest and by taking my NingXia Red juice.” ~ anonymous

Upper Respirataory Infection

“My children are usually all in good health but when they get sick it always manifests as an URI (upper respiratory infection). Wheezing from the lungs is not uncommon for me to hear when it would get bad. I have had it where I thought they had pneumonia that breathing got so labored and the wheezing sound was alarming.

I used ImmuPower along the spine with the Raindrop Technique oils and Frankincense all over the chest with R.C. blend. All Young Living Essential Oils of course.

The wheezing immediately stops! Of course this needs to be repeated all through out the day to get a handle on the infection but with NingXia Red (fact sheet) every two hours (1-3 oz) and ImmuPro 2-3 , 3x a day, it is gone within 2 days max! They get instant relief from the essential oils.” ~ Nancy

A Better Night’s Sleep Tip

“Peace and Calming or Lavender on the bottom of your feet and brushed on your pillowcase before going to bed ImmuPro – a natural melatonin supplement for those difficult times.” ~ Vicki
