Romance – Valentines Day is the traditional day in which lovers express their love for each other across the world, with candy, flowers, dinner out, theater or gifts. These are all thoughtful ways of showing love and affection. Here are some other ways to express ones adoration to a loved one.
Transform your home with the alluring scent of essential oils by diffusing enticing and uplifting essential oils into the air and creating a loving environment. Diffusing therapeutic-grade essential oils is a sure winner to elevate and uplift moods, for relaxation and even for romance and desire.
When the aroma of an essential oil is inhaled, the scent travels to the reticular system of the brain stem where emotions and memories are connected. This enables essential oils to improve emotional wellness in many ways.
Smell is the only one of the five senses directly linked to the limbic lobe—the emotional control center—of the brain. From anxiety to tension, fatigue to stress, essential oils have long been appreciated for their uplifting, calming, and clarifying effects on emotional wellness. By diffusing essential oils, therapeutic constituents reestablish balance physically, emotional and spiritually.
What makes them unique is how essential oils work differently than any other natural substance. Essential oils containing the optimum level of therapeutic constituents, affect our feelings and thoughts because smell is our most emotional sense.
Young Living therapeutic grade essential oils perform multiple functions because of their structural complexity. This explains ‘why’ one essential oil, using only a couple of drops, can do so many different things for you all at the same time – mind, body and spirit.
When any scent or fragrance is inhaled, the odor molecules travel up the nose where they are trapped by olfactory membranes that are protected by the lining inside the nose. Each odor molecule fits like a little puzzle piece into specific receptor cell sites that line a membrane, known as the olfactory epithelium. Each one of these hundreds of millions of nerve cells is replaced every 28 days. When stimulated by odor molecules, this lining of nerve cells triggers electrical impulses to the olfactory bulb in the brain. The olfactory bulb then transmits the impulses to the gustatory center (where the sensation of taste is perceived), the amygdala (where emotional memories are stored), and other parts of the limbic system of the brain.
Now that you understand how diffusing and inhaling essential oils works, here are some oils that would be perfect to diffuse for your sweetheart;
- Rose oil – Rose oil is one of the most enticing and alluring of all essential oils. It’s aroma is considered to be intoxicating and highly romantic. Besides diffusing Rose oil, you can also put 5-10 drops in a spray bottle with distilled water and spray the air and bedding for an intoxicating affect. Or put a drop on a tissue and put it in your sweethearts pillow case.
Rose oil is one of our most expensive oils. Why? It takes approximately 5,000 pounds of rose petals to make one pound of oil. A 5ml bottle, at retail cost is $236.51. There are about 80 drops of oil in a bottle, which would be about $2.96 a drop. Each drop comes loaded with fantastic therapeutic qualities and if you were to use five to ten drops a month, your bottle of Rose oil would last you from eight to sixteen months. However if you don’t use it all up it will last indefinitely because of the quality of the oil.
Compare this to a dozen roses, which probably don’t have much scent to them, or much healing therapeutic qualities. A dozen roses might cost anywhere from $20.00 to $50.00 or more. That is $1.67 to $4.17 a rose. Anyway, my point here is, Young Living Rose oil is expensive but the expense out ways all that it comes packed with:
- A beautiful scent
- Uplifting, intoxicating and highly romantic
- Used for skin care for thousands of years
- The highest frequency of any known essential oil at 320MHz
Rose oil is not the only romantic essential oil option. Following are more suggestions:
- Sensation – A wonderfully fragrant, powerfully romantic blend that is extremely uplifting and refreshing. It was formulated to enhance the enjoyment of special moments.*
- Joy – A luxuriously exotic blend with uplifting overtones that creates magnetic energy and brings joy to the heart. When worn as cologne or perfume, Joy exudes an alluring and irresistible fragrance that inspires romance and togetherness.*
- Jasmine – Has been used throughout history for romance and attraction and for balancing the feminine energy of the body.*
- Sandalwood – A rich, sweet, warm, and woody aroma that is sensual and romantic.*
Something to also keep in mind is that these oils can be worn like a perfume and if any of you already have someone in your life that is familiar with and uses therapeutic grade essential oils, they would very much appreciate a bottle, as they know that these are the ultimate perfumes.
