Our lives can be stressful for so many different reasons. Wouldn’t it be nice to “de-stress” whenever we needed to. To unwind that tight band that is closing in around our heart and stomach. For me I have found a few easy stress reducing remedies. One of them is soaking in the tub with essential induced bath salts. I’ll share a little later how to make some great bath salts. But for a quick “fix” to reduce my stress, a really easy thing that helps me, is aromatherapy with some of my favorite Young Living Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils of:
- Lavender
- Peace & Calming blend
- Gentle Baby blend
- Harmony blend or
- RutaVaLa blend
Whenever I breathe in the wonderful aroma of the oils, within seconds the “edge” I was feeling of stress, is gone, and my thoughts are calmed and I know that all is well and that there is no need to “sweat the small stuff”. That’s my easy fix to stress reduction with essential oils. And how I breathe them in is either diffusing the essential oil into the air or by putting 1-2 drops of the oil into the palm of my hand and then cup my hands over my nose and then take several nice BIG deep breaths.
At the end of the day when I take the time, I will fill my tub up and add to the water some of my essential oil bath salts. Not only does the aroma of the oils calm me, but the soaking in the tub with the oils, is an added benefit. As are all the other benefits that I get from the different oils, like with the lavender, if I were to have a sun burn, my skin would be soothed and be less irritated.
Here are a few bath salt recipes:
Sooth Anxiety Blend
- 1 Cup Epsom Salt or Sea Salt
- 10 drops Lavender
- 6 drops Ylang Ylang
- 4 drops Bergamot
- 1 cup Epsom Salt or Sea Salt
- 6 drops of any of the following
- Lavender
- Peace & Calming
- Gentle Baby (also beneficial for mothers and babies for relaxing and soothing to skin)
- Harmony or
- Ruta VaLa
Now you have a few easy ways to relieve your stress, and not by popping a pill into your mouth. So, why not try some of these natural remedies of stress reduction with our Young Living Essential oils. Enjoy and take a deep breath and feel the tension slowly slip away.
