Vertigo Can Mess With Your Body, Mind & Spirit

mom-grandma-peopleMy Mother, bless her heart,  has been suffering with Vertigo for many years.  When Vertigo hits her, she gets tired and her spirits spiral downwards. Too top it off she has gotten depressed because she feels so helpless and she feels like her body is letting her down. She has had therapy for the Vertigo, but it is awful for her to go through because she has to do things, like lying down and turning her head and she feels like vomiting.

I FINALLY looked in my Essential Oil Desk Reference and an oil suggestion was Ginger. Which makes sense, Ginger may help with motion sickness, morning sickness, nausea, digestive disorders and much more.*  Because our oils are so pure, many of them are safe to take internally (GRAS-Generally regarded as safe).

So, I put 6 to 8 drops of Ginger in a gel capsule and had her take it with a glass of water. I then applied a drop of Ginger oil behind her ears and lastly I massaged the outer edges of her ears and I also had her breath in the aroma of the Ginger oil and in just a few short minutes she felt tremendous relief.joy

Consequently, since then, whenever Vertigo raises it’s ugly head, I whip out the Ginger and it goes to work and kicks that Vertigo goodbye. I am so happy I am able to help my mom out with her health issues and with natural remedies!!  And to help her out when she is feeling low, I plug in the diffuser, put some Joy oil in it and rub some Joy oil on the bottoms of her feet.  This helps to release those emotional feelings of sadness.* And the room smells great and her feet are soft and sweet smelling and her spirits are lifted. How great is that!!

Dogs, Cats, Fleas, Fear and Using Natural Remedies

pets-animals-cat-dogOur pets are part of our family and we love them and want to take good care of them.  If they have fleas or even anxiety issues, we want to help them to be comfortable.  We should stay away from chemicals and toxins and find natural remedies to help them.

I could write a short story on how I have used therapeutic-grade essential oils with my pets and the stories of my friends using natural products on their pets.   I will start with a friend who has show dogs.  She one day asked me;  “Is there an essential oil that could help one of my show dogs, who is extremely timid, to be able to perform better? I know Young Livings essential oils are pure and therapeutic-grade, and I want a natural remedy, rather then using synthetics or chemicals.

I immediately thought of two of our blends;  Peace and Calming and Valor.  I explained to her that the Peace and Calming may help her dog to be more relaxed and the Valor could give him courage and confidence.*  I said to her: “It is very important to always remember to use less oils on pets.  What you should do is first put 1 drop of Peace and Calming in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together in a clock wise motion, and then “massage” them onto the pads of the dogs feet.  Let him rest a few minutes and you should see a noticeable difference in his attitude.  Next, do the same with the Valor.”

The next time I saw her she came up to me and said:  ” Oh my gosh, I could not believe how the oils changed him.  He had the best show he ever has, he was calm and pranced with confidence and when he was up on the podium, he stood like a rock.  Thank you so much!!  I need these oils!!  And I know more dog handlers are going to want to purchase the oils, so how do I start a business with Young Living Therapeutic Essential Oils?” I showed her how to become a wholesale member and to make some extra money too.  And now her “dog” friends are using the oils too!!

On another topic, have you seen on the news lately how pet owners are having severe problems with there cats and dogs with the flea products that they are using?  Some get terrible allergic skin reactions, some get very ill, and many are dying.  I wanted to jump into the television and say:  “Hello!! I know you all love your pets and want the best for them, so listen up, this is what I do for my pets, a natural remedy of and essential oil blend of Purification.” I use it on my cat. I use one drop for the cat and put the essential oil in the palm of my hand, rub my hands together. Then I massage the back of his neck and the pads of his feet and I finish giving  him a good petting. Lot’s of love and good health to all our pets!!

We love our pets and we have to take care of them, because they can not take care of themselves.  Why not give them a better quality of life by loving them with natural products to assure them a healthier life!

Physical energy can change very quickly from feeling good and happy, to sad, scared or even an overwhelming feeling of wanting to escape. Have you ever experienced a feeling of your energy suddenly changing from good to bad, feeling tired, weak or rundown?  If you have, do you know why? Could it be do to a situation or someone you are with?

There will always be times and situations that come up in our lives that cause us to have many of these feelings.  One circumstance that many people may not recognize or realize is when they have been with a person that drains their energy, in other words this person could be called an ‘energy vampire’.  When you understand that being around a particular person zaps your energy, what can you do?  The best thing to do, if you can, is to stay away from them.  Sometimes this is not possible as this person could be a family member or a co-worker.

I am a Reiki Master and I have learned how very important it is to protect oneself from these kinds of energies. I had a session with a client while I was living in Hawaii and I forgot to protect myself before the healing season. Big mistake, but I did know what to do and how to eliminate the bad feeling I had when I was done. There are different ways to protect yourself from negative energies and one easy way to protect yourself  is to run your hands under cold water, or if possible take a shower.

Another excellent way to eliminate or prevent negative energy is with Young Living Essential Oil blend of White Angelica.  Put a few drops in the palm of your hand, rub your palms together in a clock like motion, to increase the vibrational frequency, and then ‘brush’ your hands from the top of your head down to your feet and be sure to touch all of your Chakra points. And lastly cup your hands over your face and breath in the aroma of the oil. (Be careful to keep your hands off of your skin.)

I also diffuse White Angelica, to benefit from the aromatherapy and to prevent negative energies from consuming my environment, myself or anyone that may be visiting. I have always felt immediate relief whenever I use either of these therapies.

Travel Destination, Clean Environment and Natural Solutions

purification-thieves-moldBefore you set out on your travel destination, do you think about whether you will be graced with a clean environment upon your arrival to your hotel room?  Do you prepare and pack what you can use to enhance your room when you do settle in?  If you do, good for you!!

Once you have reached your travel destination, it’s time to “freshen up”  your space. Easy to do, takes but just a few minutes of your time.  Using “Natural Remedies” to help you to feel safe, cleaner, free of toxins in the air and stress free is of course the best alternative. You should have your “bag” or “First Aid Kit” of  Young Living Essential Oils, and it should include the essential oil blends of Purification and Thieves.

Start by dropping a few drops of Purification on a tissue and placing the tissue in the air vent of your room.  This also works great as an air freshener in a vehicle that you are driving.  Put the tissue in the vent of the car.  What this does is cleans and purifies the air that surrounds you and is like “diffusing” the essential oils into the air plus you get aromatherapy benefit.

Purification® can be used directly on the skin to cleanse and soothe insect bites, cuts, and scrapes. When diffused, it helps to purify and cleanse the air from environmental impurities including cigarette smoke and other disagreeable odors.*

Ingredients: Citronella (Cymbopogon nardus), lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus), rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), Melaleuca (Melaleuca alternifolia) lavandin (Lavandula hybrida), and myrtle (Myrtus communis).

You can use Purification to protect yourself from bugs, like mosquitoes.  Just put a few drops of Purification in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together in a clock like motion, this gets the vibrational frequency going, then rub your hands on any exposed area of skin.   The mosquitoes are repelled by the scent and make no contact with your skin.

Before you leave your room, be sure to also use the essential oil blend of Thieves. Put a few drops on a dampened cloth and wipe down the faucet, counters, door knobs, dresser knobs and the toilet seat. This will take care of the “germs” using this “Natural Remedy”.   And If you are so lucky as to have a bottle of Thieves Spray, a great hand sanitizer/cleaner, you can keep this with you on your daily excursions, to keep your hands clean and germ free.  Now you can enjoy your time.  And remember to  take lots of pictures!!

Traveling and Feeling Protected Naturally

maui-palms-beach-relaxSummer comes along and many of us will be traveling, either by “Planes, Trains or Automobiles” or cruise ships, back packing, motorcycling or cycling.  The best way to accomplish an overall “protection plan” is to have your trusty bag or first aide kit of therapeutic grade essential oils.  You can  have a First Aid kit set up for any kind of trip and another kit for traveling on airplanes.  No matter how short or long your adventure, you can be prepared and be assured pure and natural remedies are with you.  (No chemicals, synthetics or toxins should be allowed in your kits!!)

Use Young Living Essential Oils and feel protection from;

  1. Viruses and bacterias
  2. Cuts, scrapes, burns, bruises, bug bites, etc.
  3. Headaches or allergies
  4. Achy muscles
  5. And many other unexpected situations.

Preparing for flights, I always apply Thieves Oil blend on the bottoms of my feet to ”protect” myself, should there be anyone “coughing on the flight. Because of the precautions that have come into place since September 11, your “plane kit” carry on can consists of;

  1. Thieves Essential Oil on a damp cloth.  (About 5 drops of Thieves oil on the damp cloth, to protect myself from the “bugs” on the flight.  If you feel the need, take several nice long deep breaths of this beautiful therapeutic scent.
  • Thieves was created based on research about four thieves in France who covered themselves with cloves, rosemary, and other aromatics while robbing plague victims. This proprietary essential oil blend was university tested for its cleansing abilities. It is highly effective in supporting the immune system and good health.*
  • Ingredients: Clove (Syzygium aromaticum), lemon (Citrus limon), cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), Eucalyptus radiata and rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis CT 1,8 cineol).
  1. Peppermint in a small dram bottle.  (If you need to “wake up” and feel “clearer” at the end of the flight. Or in case you get a headache.)

Dupuytren’s and Pain Relief

Young Living Lavender oil is what started me on my journey of essential oils.  A friend offered me Young Living Lavender oil for a cut.  It was soothing, and the next day the healing had begun, and the redness was gone.

Tooth and Gum Health and Edible Toothpaste
